Hi, my name is Ali!

My name is Ali and I am an artist from Bellingham Washington. I focus on making art with cute critters, bright and contrasting colors, and feeding my inner child with nostalgia. My works are usually digital art, but I grew up working with traditional mediums as well.

What do you make?

I started my professional artist career by selling prints of gouache paintings and have evolved into designing various cozy goods with my digital art. I sell super soft pillows, adorable acrylic earrings, wooden pins/magnets, dot-paged notebooks, and I’m sure many more things in the future.

How long have you been an artist?

I’ve been an artist my whole life but decided to pursue becoming a professional artist around 2022 after the pandemic made me reestablish what I want to do with my life.

What makes your art unique?

I’ve always been attracted to fantasy and cuteness, so I’m always pushing my imagination to create new creatures or add new characteristics to existing critters. I adore bright, contrasting colors with cartoonish shading and highlights.

What inspires you?

I am a huge nerd at heart so countless video games have inspired me over the years, as well as whimsical animation such as Studio Ghibli films, anime, and Nickelodeon cartoons.

I am also a pluviophile (lover of rain) and feel extremely creative on rainy days. Luckily living in the PNW it rains constantly to encourage me to feel cozy inside and make lots of pots of soup and cups of coffee.
